Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy applies to Contabo Restic Backup, a personal utility operated by the owner of the connected Google account.
Google user data
The application requests Google Drive access solely to create, list, read, update, and delete files that make up the owner's encrypted restic backup repository. It does not use Google Drive data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or AI model training.
Storage and security
Source backup data is encrypted by restic before it is uploaded. OAuth credentials are stored only on the owner's VPS with restricted filesystem permissions. This website uses no cookies, analytics, or external scripts.
Sharing and transfer
Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Encrypted backup files remain in the owner's Google Drive until the configured restic retention policy removes them or the owner deletes them. OAuth credentials remain until the owner revokes access or removes the server configuration.
User control
The owner can revoke access at any time from the Google Account connections page. The owner can delete backup data directly from Google Drive or through restic.
